Booking Terms and Conditions

By purchasing tickets or tables for the Scottish Events Awards, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Booking Confirmation

All bookings for the Scottish Events Awards are subject to availability and are confirmed only once payment has been successfully processed.

Upon completion of your booking and payment via Stripe, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided during registration.

The organiser reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking at its discretion.

2. Payment

All bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing with the organiser.

Payments are processed securely via Stripe.

EVENTIT does not store or process credit or debit card information directly.

All prices are listed in GBP and are exclusive or inclusive of VAT where applicable.

3. Table Bookings

A standard table booking includes the number of seats specified at the time of booking.

Table hosts are responsible for submitting the names, contact details, and dietary requirements of all guests via the event platform by the deadline specified by the organiser.

The organiser reserves the right to adjust table layouts where necessary for operational or safety reasons.

4. Individual Ticket Bookings

Individual ticket holders may be seated with other guests at shared tables.

Seating allocations are managed by the organiser and may be adjusted where required.

Requests for seating preferences will be considered but cannot be guaranteed.

5. Guest Information

All guest details, including names and dietary requirements, must be submitted through the event booking platform by the deadline communicated by the organiser.

Failure to provide guest details by the stated deadline may result in limited menu options or delays in accreditation.

6. Transfers and Substitutions

Tickets may be transferred to another attendee at any time prior to the event, provided the organiser is notified and updated details are entered on the event platform.

Substitutions do not incur additional charges.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

All bookings are non-refundable once confirmed.

In exceptional circumstances, the organiser may consider requests for refunds or credits at its sole discretion.

If the event is cancelled by the organiser, ticket holders will be offered either:

  • a full refund, or
  • the option to transfer their booking to a future event.

The organiser shall not be liable for any additional costs incurred by attendees, including travel or accommodation.

8. Event Changes

The organiser reserves the right to make changes to the event programme, speakers, venue, or timings where necessary.

Such changes do not entitle ticket holders to a refund.

9. Behaviour and Conduct

All attendees are expected to behave respectfully towards other guests, venue staff, and event personnel.

The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any individual whose behaviour is considered disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate.

No refund will be provided in such circumstances.

10. Photography and Filming

Photography and video recording may take place during the event.

By attending, guests consent to their image being used for promotional, editorial, and marketing purposes by Eventit and its partners.

If you do not wish to appear in photographs or recordings, please inform the organiser in advance.

11. Accessibility and Dietary Requirements

Guests with accessibility needs or dietary requirements should notify the organiser during the booking process or as soon as possible thereafter.

While the organiser will endeavour to accommodate all requests, this cannot be guaranteed if information is provided after the deadline.

12. Liability

The organiser shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or personal loss suffered at the event, except where required by law.

Attendees remain responsible for their own personal property at all times.

13. Force Majeure

The organiser shall not be liable for cancellation, delay, or changes to the event resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • severe weather
  • government restrictions
  • venue closure
  • public health emergencies
  • industrial disputes

14. Data Protection

Personal information provided during the booking process will be used solely for the purposes of administering the event and communicating relevant event information.

Data will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.

15. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland.

Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

Entries and Nominations

  • Please enter using the official entry forms, with supporting documentation and materials. We reserve the right to not accept entries that do not adhere to the official entry criteria. Supporting materials can include photographs, videos, online materials, documentation and any other reasonable medium that will enhance a submission.   
  • Events eligible for consideration must have taken place between 1 December 2024 to 31 December 2025, and must have either been organised by a Scottish organisation anywhere in the word OR taken place in Scotland.   
  • By entering The Scottish Event Awards, all entrants agree that information and images relating to their application, their organisation, and individuals, may be referred to in promotional activity, press and editorial articles.   
  • The deadline for submitting entries across all categories of The Scottish Event Awards is 20th February 2026. 
  •  Submitted entries can be amended up until 20th February 2026. After this point, entries will go forward for judging and cannot be amended.   
  • Entries cannot be withdrawn once judging has commenced   
  • There is no limit as to how many categories applicants can enter in The Scottish Event Awards. 
  • Evaluation of entries is made by an independent judging board. Judges’ decisions are final, and we will not enter into correspondence or conversations about decisions that have been made.   
  • All personal data will be processed according to the General Data Protection Act (GDPR) 2018
